Identity theft is a growing concern, but with proactive steps, you can lessen the chances of it happening to you.
Here are some tips to help protect yourself:
- Review your credit reports for free at AnnualCreditReport.com.
- Shred sensitive documents like old bank statements and medical records.
- Monitor your accounts regularly for unauthorized activity.
- Use strong, unique passwords and enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
- Beware of phishing scams and verify sources before sharing personal information.
